Membership Updates and Changes

Member Contact Info Updates

Members are required to keep their contact information up-to-date with the Cascades East Association of REALTORS® and the Cascades East Multiple Listing Service at all times. If you change your name, office and/or home address, phone, website, and/or email address, you must notify us so we can update your records accordingly. Your records with the state and national association will be updated within 24 hours after we update your record. To update your contact information, you must complete Section 2 of the Membership Change Form.

 

Brokerage Contact Info Updates

Brokerages are also required to keep their contact information up-to-date with the Cascades East Association of REALTORS® and the Cascades East Multiple Listing Service at all times. If your brokerage is changing the physical or mailing address, office phone, fax, or website, the Managing Principal Broker must complete Section 2 of the Office Change Form.

If the Brokerage is changing the Managing Principal Broker responsible for the firm, firm name, adding a branch office, or inactivating the office entirely, the Managing Principal Broker must complete section 1 of the Office Change Form.

 

Transferring Offices

Have you decided to transfer to a different brokerage? If so, a few things will need to be completed:

  • The Managing Principal Broker (MPB) of your new office will need to transfer your license to their office with the Oregon Real Estate Agency.  
  • Your Managing Principal Broker must complete Section 1 of the Membership Change Form and send a signed copy to our This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
  • If you do not currently have MLS input privileges and are transferring to a firm that would like to grant you those privileges, you will need to complete the listing input packet.  You will also be required to complete the listing input course prior to being granted those privileges in our MLS system.
  • If you have MLS input privileges at your current firm and are transferring to a firm that would like you to also have input privileges, your new Managing Principal Broker must still approve those privileges by completing the Transferring Member Listing Input Set Up Form.  You will not be required to retake the MLS input course.
  • Once these steps are complete, our office will email you an invoice to pay.  Once paid, the transfer will be completed in our systems.

 

Cancel or Inactivate Your Membership

Do you want to temporarily go inactive and then reactivate your membership and/or MLS access later? If so, there are a few important timelines you should be aware of. 

  • If your membership or MLS access is inactive for thirty (30) days or less, you will be assessed the same amount as transferring offices.  
  • If your membership or MLS access is inactive for thirty-one (31) days or more, you must rejoin the association and/or MLS (whichever is applicable) and pay the same fees as new members.

Have you decided to temporarily go inactive, leave the business or move to an association or MLS elsewhere?  If so, a few things will need to be completed:

  • Your Managing Principal Broker (MPB) must remove you from the office roster with the Oregon Real Estate Agency or move your license to a referral company.
