About the Association Awards
The Association Awards program celebrates those who have given above and beyond to the real estate industry and their communities. Applications open in early spring. A workgroup of members and former award winners reviews applicants and selects winners. Each year, the Annual Association Awards workgroup selects the REALTOR® of the Year, Rising Star of the Year and the Affiliate of the Year. Each of these awards focuses on the following criteria.
Nominations are due by June 30, 2025.
- REALTOR® Integrity – high principles of integrity, adherence to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, and furtherance of the principles of good real estate practice among brokers, agents and the general public.
- Civic Activity – Local, state, and national level participation in civic and service clubs, charitable activities, political commissions, fraternal, or religious groups.
- Business Accomplishments – Public recognition of business conduct, service to clients, imaginative and creative advertising programs, rehabilitation work, land utilization, etc.
- Local REALTOR® Association/Board Activity – Offices held and participation in key committee, committee, or workgroup, special assignments, seminar activity and educational work, membership and offices held in local chapters of institutes, societies, and councils.
- State REALTOR® Association Activity – Offices held and committee work, attendance and participation in state conventions, directors meetings, and educational conferences.
- National Association REALTOR® Activity – National offices and committee work, membership and work in institutes, societies, and councils, attendance at national conventions and directors’ meetings.

- Must have been a REALTOR® for at least 24 months and up to 60 months
- Involved in the Cascades East Association of REALTORS® demonstrated by attending events, classes and/or serving on key committee(s), committees, and/or workgroups.
- Expresses motivation to learn more about the real estate field
- Exemplifies a high degree of integrity
- Is involved in his or her community
- Has completed at least 10 transactions
- Has contributed to the firms success
- Displayed leadership with good teamwork skills
- Has exhibited sound moral character and high ethical behavior

- Service to the Real Estate Profession: Consideration of significant contributions made to the real estate industry as well as examples of professionalism and ethical business practices.
- Local Association Activity: Consideration of leadership positions held (i.e. key committee/committee/workgroup chair, vice chair, or member), special assignments, seminar and education work, support of association activities and events as a volunteer or sponsor, etc.
- Community Involvement/Civic Activity: Consideration of local, state, and national level participation in the civic and service clubs, charitable activities, political action, etc.

Additional Annual Awards
In addition to our above annual association awards, we have three other awards that are given by separate committees/workgroups and are also recognized at our Annual Awards, Installation, & Holiday Party. These include the Good Neighbor Award, Commercial Transaction of the Year Award and the Housing Champion Award. The 2024 awardees are as follows:
