Home Buyers and Sellers Profile
The National Association of REALTORS® produces a Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers annually. For most home buyers, purchasing real estate is one of the largest financial transactions they will make. Buyers purchase a home not only for the desire to own a home of their own but also because of changes in jobs, family situations, and the need for a smaller or larger living area. This report examines the characteristics of home buyers and the homes purchased, the home search process, home buying and real estate professionals, financing the home purchase, home sellers and their selling experience, home selling and real estate professionals, and for sale by owner sellers. REALTORS® Confidence Index Survey
The National Association of REALTORS® produces a monthly REALTORS® Confidence Index Survey to gather information from REALTORS® about local market conditions based on their client interaction and the characteristics of their most recent sales for the month. Appraisal Process Report & Surveys
The National Association of REALTORS® surveyed its members pertaining to data collectors in the appraisal process. These data collectors gather essential property information to be later shared with an appraiser for the appraisal process. The National Association of REALTORS® conducted an appraisal survey. The objectives of this survey were:
- To determine the level of impact appraisals on the current market and member business in terms of cost, turn-around times, and other challenges.
- To measure member experiences with bias and discrimination in the real estate process and the appraisal process.
- To determine how these issues may have shifted since 2022.
