
About the BBO Awards
The Building a Better Oregon* (BBO) Awards recognize those who have impacted their community with outstanding new or renovated commercial or industrial buildings/structures, as well as innovative residential buildings/structures. This community awards program was created by the association over 50 years ago. Applicants are judged on:
- community or neighborhood improvement
- innovative design and construction
- economic contribution
- environmental sustainability
Nominations for the 2026 Building a Better (BBO) Award are open. To apply, visit this link. The application deadline is April 13, 2026. A workgroup of members reviews applications and selects projects to be toured during the spring and summer. Awards are presented in the fall. For more information, contact
