Professionalism in Real Estate will review the common practices and expectations in a cooperative real estate market community.  This course will help you gain the respect of your peers and ensure you are putting your most professional foot forward as you begin your real estate career.

This course is required for all new Cascades East Association of REALTORS® members within the first 4 months of joining the association.

By the end of the course, students will be equipped to manage negotiations across a wide range of situations—including multiple-offer environments, distressed properties, difficult counterparties, and shifting market dynamics—while maintaining professionalism and ethical standards. The RENE® course helps real estate professionals increase client satisfaction, reduce conflict, and close transactions more effectively and confidently.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Define key negotiation concepts and terminology as they apply to real estate transactions.
  2. Analyze common negotiation styles and communication behaviors to improve professional interactions with clients and cooperating parties.
  3. Apply effective negotiation strategies during listing, buyer representation, and contract negotiation scenarios.
  4. Demonstrate techniques for managing objections, resolving conflicts, and navigating challenging negotiation situations.
  5. Evaluate client needs, motivations, and risk tolerance to develop negotiation approaches that align with fiduciary duties.
  6. Recognize ethical considerations and professional standards that guide negotiation practices in real estate.
  7. Implement structured preparation and planning methods to improve negotiation outcomes and reduce transactional risk.

ODS Rules and Regulations Onboarding Course, Webinar

This course is required for all new Oregon Data Share (ODS) members within the first thirty (30) days of joining.

The course covers the basics of FlexMLS, reviews the MLS Rules and Regulations and highlights important fields, what they mean and how you should use them as well as important data integrity standards we adhere to inorder to make sure our members have access to the most accurate real estate data.  The staff will review these important items as we audit for them and issue fines if found.
