How to Earn It
Education
- Complete the two-day SRS course, either online or in a classroomsetting.
- Complete (or have completed) an elective:

- Accredited Buyer’s Representative Core Course (ABR)
- Business Planning & Marketing for the Residential Specialist (CRS 200)
- Harnessing the Power: Skills Based Performance Management (WCR)
- Listing Strategies for the Residential Specialist (CRS 201)
- Seniors Real Estate Specialist Course (SRES)
- Military Relocation Professional Certification Core Course (MRP)
- Resort & Second-Home Markets Course (RSPS)
- Short Sales & Foreclosures Course: What Real Estate Professionals Need to Know (SFR)
- Understanding & Leveraging Teams (CRB Course)
- The Power Negotiator's Playbook (CRB Course)
Exam
- Applicants must pass the exam at the end of the course with an 80% or better score
Professional Affiliation
- Member in good standing of the National Association of REALTORS®
- Member in good standing of SRS
Application
- There is no application requirement for this designation. Completion of the course and passing the exam automatically enrolls you as an SRS for one year.
Cost
- First year of membership for an SRS designee
- Annual renewal of SRS membership
