In today’s world, this one-of-a-kind training is key to knowing that your self-assessment of a situation is probably in the 40% to 70% range of being correct. You’ll learn that waiting until you feel you are 100% certain may be too late. This class will teach you that your safety starts with an awareness of your surroundings and making decisions based on your observations. Listen to instructors give you information on what to look for and hear some advice regarding steps to protect yourself and your family. For those attending this in-person presentation, you will have the opportunity to sign up for hands-on training at the Sheriff's department on May 23rd. You will observe some basic self-defence tactics and leave with a complimentary personal protection device. Registration for the hands-on training has a maximum of 12.

In your registration email, you will be provided a link to attend the class virtually if you choose to do so. Your virtual attendance will be monitored by the webinar platform we use called GoToWebinar. GoToWebinar tracks your digital engagement and rates your participation; we use the information provided by GoToWebinar to confirm that virtual attendees have earned your CE credit. For in-person and virtual attendees, CE will be sent via email the day following the event.
